TA 50 Lockers

Broadly defined a locker would be a cabinet made out of steel, which is narrow and comes in various heights and tier arrangements. Lockers are normally used in public places, businesses, banks, airports, stations and schools. Army Lockers and Military Lockers are used by Armed forces personal, the federal, provincial and municipal police forces as well as the fire department. These need to be built differently. Their specifications differ from the normal lockers in several key areas.

The Armed Forces need to rough it out and live in a constant state of preparedness and emergency. Their gear needs to be safe, cleaned, well oiled. TA-50 Lockers are built as per government specifications. They are built into the wall and are available in different material. The armed forces prefer lockers made of panels that are constructed with 10 gauge wires which is reinforced by welding into iron frames and then secured to angles using zinc bolts and nuts. Even the swing doors are made of the same material. These doors are equipped with padlock hasps or cylindrical locks, door strikes and hinges. The entire ensemble is then cased in phosphate treated steel.

The TA-50 Locker provides a secure cabinet to stash hand guns and other personal items. The locker also includes a clothes armoire complete with coat hooks and space to hang uniforms. Shelves are also provided to accommodate personal effects and certain small equipment.

These military lockers are very important in the lives of armed forces. The importance of these lockers can be assessed by the training of a new recruit. Air Force on the other hand needs cabinets or hatches for helmets, G Vest, a harness and other equipment which they need.
