Security Cages
Public Transportation - Subway Security Fencing
One of the more popular ways a wire
mesh partition might be used is in an industrial setting,
such as on a construction site, and this is often seen in
everyday life, even if we don’t always notice. Major
Partitions’ sturdy security cages can
segment work areas and protect those around the work site
from getting hurt.
In many areas, where the car and people traffic is frequent,
one might notice such security fencing more than in less populated
areas as this is where new construction and renovations may
occur. Recently, this has been the case with the public
transportation system.
There are, of course, the everyday repairs and work that are
done in subway stations. These might include work on staircases
and escalators, painting or finishing walls, or repairing
cracks or holes in some of the older stations. Still,
when all this work is being done, there is only one way to
ensure that only trained employees can get into the work area
and that’s with a security cage around it.
Acting as a perimeter guard, a security fencing
would create a physical barrier that stands between
the work site and the traffic around it. This allows for citizens’
safety in the subway and keeps the heavy machinery and equipment
workers are using enclosed and out of anyone’s way.
Similarly, while wire enclosures can section off the actual
work site, they can also be used as tool cribs
– also within subway stations – to hold tools
and equipment. This can be in a separate storage
cage that workers can go to for their gear when necessary.
As public transportation continues to grow in many cities,
such expansion will require changes to existing areas as well
as addition of new ones. It’s still important to maintain
safety – of workers and citizens alike. Moreover, as
is the case in any work site, proper organization and storage
are key and, using the right wire
mesh product, the site should be guarded. |
