Gear Lockers

Gear Lockers are the best solution for storage of heavy equipment and sporting gear which is non-standardized. Most manufacturers of gear lockers work closely with the client to design the lockers as per the specific needs of the customer. Mostly gear lockers are used by defence personnel and are built to governmental specifications to hold arms and equipment along with uniforms. But these lockers are highly adaptable and can be used in many other areas as specified below:

• Military gear lockers/Stadium gear lockers:
  
  These are designed especially for storage of army gear, for athletic team rooms in stadiums, gyms and fitness centres and also for storing of fire fighting equipment in a fire station. They are open in the front and have visually perforated sides that provide full ventilation. This feature is specifically built into the design so that any bad smells caused by sweat, etc., does not build up and create an unpleasant odour in the premises. Each locker is provided with a shelf, a few coat hooks and a coat rod. Some designs also provide a foot shelf that doubles as a bench to save space and eliminate the need for additional sitting furniture. These are normally built in cold rolled steel and are powder coated. Their backs are made with at least 18 gauge and the coat hooks and rod may have powder coated or zinc coated finish.


• Wet Gear Lockers:
  
  These are designed for wet gear of fishermen, air pilots, miners, deep sea divers, ski lodges and other premises that need to store and air gear that is wet. Normally, if you walk into the locker area in any of these offices, the stench is overpowering. Wet Gear Lockers are modular and designed to store and air any gear that is wet. The wet gear lockers come with shelves and walls that are welded. They have the option of being shipped in parts or in a complete set up. They have ventilated sides, top shelves to store helmets and other equipment. They can have bottom shelves that can be locked for personal effects. The main compartment is rather large so that it can hold heavy jackets, wet uniforms, harnesses G suits and G vests. The wet gear system can be designed as a single bay or be expanded to hold multiple bays. It can also be single sided or double sided. This is a flexi system that is built in cold rolled steel with wire mesh. These days the lockers are finished with advanced powder coating technology that works actively at bacterial, fungal and mould growth on the surface of the locker.
